Uses
Clove is associated with protection, banishing gossip, exorcism, attraction, and money work. Its sharp, forceful character is especially suited to workings meant to shut down hostile talk, repel unwanted influence, or strengthen a protective boundary.
In Practice
Add whole cloves to protective jars or sachets, combine them with cinnamon in money work, or press them into an orange to make a protective pomander. They may also be burned as incense with care and ventilation when the focus is banishing or clearing hostile energy.

Essential oil is potent and can cause skin irritation or chemical burns if undiluted.
